I just found a source at http://catholicbiblical.org/publications/cbq. They say that copies for back issues dating from 1965 are available for $10 an article. -

Have you tried contacting a Catholic university or college to see if they have a copy in their library? Perhaps you have one nearby. I doubt that if they do you'll be able to check it out but they might allow you to read it in their library.
Also, you may try contacting the offices of Catholic Biblical Quarterly and see if they can send you a photocopy of the article.

Curious how today's JWs view the anti-vaxxer movement
by undercover ini wonder how the average jw in our modern world views the new anti-vaxxer movement.
do they sympathize, agree - or - see them as kooky, out of touch, nutso - or - somewhere in between.. remember, back in the olden, golden days...or should i say, the golden age, the wts took a hard line stance against vaccinations.
see jwfacts info regarding the the anti-vaccination stand taken by the wts:.

I don't think the Watchtower will ever take any firm position like they did yesteryear. If they even bother to mention the subject they will simply take an "it's up to your conscience" position. -

South Texas Introduction
by artsteel inwow, amazing to read all these experiences.. luckily, i walked away from them 20 some odd years ago because i wasn't making it financially and decided to pursue higher education.
best decision i ever made.
i was able to finish my degrees and i still shake my head at how these people really believe, really mind boggling.. most family members and friends i knew stopped talking to me, and up to this day i'm glad they did.. .

"Religion gives us the Why"
by Phizzy ini have heard this nonsense said by many believers, especially when science conflicts with their belief, they say:.
" well, science may tell us how we got here, religion tells us why we are here".
does religion tell us that ?

“I do not believe in the creed professed by the Jewish church, by the Roman church, by the Greek church, by the Turkish church, by the Protestant church, nor by any church that I know of. My own mind is my own church.”
...
“EVERY national church or religion has established itself by pretending some special mission from God, communicated to certain individuals. The Jews have their Moses; the Christians their Jesus Christ, their apostles and saints; and the Turks their Mahomet; as if the way to God was not open to every man alike.
“Each of those churches shows certain books, which they call revelation, or the Word of God. The Jews say that their Word of God was given by God to Moses face to face; the Christians say, that their Word of God came by divine inspiration; and the Turks say, that their Word of God (the Koran) was brought by an angel from heaven. Each of those churches accuses the other of unbelief; and, for my own part, I disbelieve them all.”

No such thing as history
by woodforde inwhy do you think it is that wts limit accessibility to watchtowers and awakes to only issues since year 2000 on jworg?
a whiff of something slightly orwellian?
not a case of re-writing history but nixing it altogether?

Can the world condition be worse than this?
by abiather inthe innocent civilians being attacked is the norm of the day.
attacking hospitals too are happening frequently.
now schools being attacked is becoming a regular affair (last of its kind massacred 150 children in peshawar on december 16, 2014)..

I would not say centuries. There were three major wars - Taping Rebellion (1850-1860) with 20,000,000 casualties, World War 1 (14,000,000) and World War 2 (50,000,000) - within a span of 95 years. -

Oubliette "Study history and you'll learn that it almost always has been worse. This is actually better!"
Unfortunately there is no guarantee that it will stay that way. Civilizations have collapsed in the past and this one is headed for trouble.

Loyalty or nah?
by tamagotchi ini'm currently still in, just recently i've noticed a new face on the jw social scene, this person is still very much a study they are sociable and very likeable.
but this person is far from trustworthy and is rather manipulative already causing small divisions climbing the social ladder trying to gain favour with certain people.
i find it funny that the organisation prides itself on its loyalty towards one another given its many examples published in the watchtower but yet things like this happen.. it make me think how can a study who isn't baptised in the name of the governing body, cause so much trouble among 'brothers and sisters'.

tamagotchi:
"Makes you think if the great tribulation strikes how many will truly stick with one another and not perform a Judas and how easy will it be for someone with bad intentions to infiltrate and cause massive damage within the organization."
Welcome to the forum tamagotchi.
As far as loyalty is concerned you're right in suggesting that the Witnesses will throw each other under the bus. And the organization would do the same thing to its members. You can tell this by the pettiness of the brothers and sisters which is a reflection of their leadership.
